The Customised Solution

As there were significant volumes of parts involved in this product, our in-house engineering team modelled and refined each component using SolidWorks, ensuring precise fit, repeatability, and efficient manufacturing. From there, we identified a solution that involved manufacturing custom lengths of tube, laser cutting the various sizes using the nesting feature on our BLM LT7 tube laser cutter, and welding the parts together using a custom setup with feed bunkers on our OTC Daihen FD-B6 Arc Robot Welder.

By manufacturing the tube to custom lengths, then integrating laser cutting and robotic welding into a single workflow, Industrial Tube Manufacturing was able to reduce fabrication time, improve quality consistency, and support Archgola’s just-in-time production model.

The BLM LT7 laser and OTC Daihen FD-B6 robot welder operate on adjacent machines, allowing a single operator to efficiently oversee both processes. Finished assemblies are delivered on our own Hiab-equipped transport, giving full control over production timing and stock management.
